Ostara (Vernal Equinox) or Mabon (Autumnal) Blessings!
Happy (Belated) Equinox!
I’m so affected by the tech glitches in the upcoming Mercury retrograde period (it stations retrograde tomorrow, so we’re in the thick of it already) that I feel I’ve been just wrestling with technology rather than getting much done lately. So my apologies for not appearing in your inbox a day ago, as I intended.
Since the Equinox is all about balance (the balance of day and night), it’s still a great time to think about how that theme is playing out in your life. In the outpicturing (what’s going on/showing up in your personal life and beyond) it might not look like there’s any balance at all, especially in the wider world.
And yet.
The pendulum is swinging. Let us bide our time and trust that all will be well in the end. (One of my favorite John Lennon quotes is: “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”)

I invite you to look at what may be out of balance in your life, and to examine how it might regulate itself. Are you spending more time hustling than in self-care? Hustle is fine if you can do it, but you can’t do it too long or too intently without a powerful counterweight of sleep, meditation, salt baths, journaling, massage, creative inspiration that is not work-related, or long walks in nature. That yang, masculine, doing energy needs to be balanced with the yin, feminine, being energy in order to avoid burnout.
When I checked in for a primary message for this missive, what I heard was that this Equinox is all about balancing the Sacred Masculine and Feminine energies. This may feel like old news, but it’s not.
This Equinox is a major portal for the crumbling of the old Patriarchal structures and the arising of the Divine Feminine and Masculine. There is now much more room for true Masculine (not the warped mask that Patriarchal forces told us for millennia was the true face of the masculine). Patriarchy had no room for the Feminine, and either claimed feminine aspects (such as physical endurance or the creative spark) as its own, or rejected them as weakness or straight-up bad (having compassion is a good example).
Patriarchy defined the masculine as strong/good and the feminine as weak/bad.
The truth is that no individual person, project, or energy can have the one without the other.

At its most simplified, the Feminine is oriented toward the interior and the Masculine faces outward. When writing a book, the creative impulse and the stamina required to keep going is the Feminine. Sending the manuscript to editors and finally getting it published is where the Masculine comes in. The book as such would not exist without combining both energies.
I, for one, am celebrating the rotten, crumbling Patriarchy.
And while I abhor the senseless violence and fear it uses to keep us under its sway with fear, I love watching it in its death throes, desperately trying to impose its will everywhere it can with its dying breaths.
I stand in witness as it goes down, and because I am party to the fact that all the power and fear it’s throwing around is pure theatre, energetically speaking. I’m not going to drink the kool-aid.
No, I’ll just keep standing for Peace, Justice, and Honor; embracing difference over separation; Love over fear.
We ARE going to make it through. The Sacred energies of Masculine and Feminine are rising. They are being felt and espoused by more and more individuals each day. Take the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, who are about to change the way lobbies influence our members of Congress to support their private interests over the Greater Good of the nation and its people.
Whenever you see people dropping what they’re doing to help others in need, you are witnessing this sacred energy materializing. Whenever you see a new technology develop to help those outside one’s immediate sphere (like those houses being built by recycling plastic bottles in Africa), that’s the merging of the masculine-making it real on the outside-and the feminine-a deep sense of connection with and desire to do good for others.
We have cause to celebrate, so I invite you to do it sometime this week. And bring those you love-children, friends, colleagues and family members-along, so that more and more people are aware and joyful. Joy is contagious, just as fear is. Lucky for us the energies of Love are stronger than those of fear. With joy in more hearts, the fear-bombs being dropped by those who are on their way out will not land but will simply poof out into nothingness.
Now, because the Equinoxes are High Holy Days and major points on the Wheel of the Year, it’s an excellent time to set intentions.
If you want to know more about the power of the equinoxes, click here to watch the video. I discuss the different kinds of intentions to set for the Vernal (Spring) and Autumnal Equinox.
If you’d like to really amplify your intentions, I’m hosting a crystal pulling party over on my personal Facebook page. This is open to all comers (please tag your friends if you know people who either love crystals or who desire to focus the energy of their intentions) as long as they are registered. I am moving at my own pace through the requests and will likely take several days to respond to them all, but don’t be daunted by the flood of comments you see! As long as you get your request in by 1 am EST on Friday the 23rd of March, I will honor it.
Maybe you’ve already made your request. If not, and you have registered in the past, go straight to my Facebook Page with the ***OFFICIAL THREAD*** post that looks like this –> and post your request. If you have not participated in the past, you’ll need to register first here. There’s no charge, unless you want to have the special guide developed for these events, which is available for purchase on the same page.

Wishing you a most beautiful week, wherever you are. I hope that you’ll join me for some crystalline fun with some serious mojo, Hang in there and Own Your Magick!
Much much Love to you,
